About

Hi. Hello. I’m Mrs. Byrd, Analisa, and I’m so glad you’re here. I have taught elementary music for 20 years and I have loved every second of it. That’s a lie. I’ve loved it, through the good times and the bad. I hold a BA in Psychology and Music Education, and a MEd. in Educational Leadership, and Orff Levels I, II, and III. I am a 10 time presenter at the Texas Music Educators Association Convention, 2 time presenter and the MATCH convention, multiple presentations for various school districts, have a professional affiliation with Rhythm Band Instruments as their educational ambassador/recorder guru and Magnetix creator, but my favorite role is to be a teacher of tiny humans. I’ve been married to Mr. Byrd, Joel, for 12 years and we have one amazing son, Robert. Robert has autism, ADHD, and other various neurodivergent things. He has taught be about the need for inclusion, diversity, and to embrace neurodivergence. I love teaching teachers, mainly because they have so many good ideas, I end up learning more from them.
